Back Handspring

Women's Artisticintermediate

Also known as: Flic-Flac, Flick Flack, Handspring

A back handspring is a backward tumbling skill in which the gymnast falls backward, places their hands on the ground behind them, briefly passes through a handstand-like position, and pushes off the hands to land back on their feet. It's most commonly performed in a series after a round-off and is a building block for more advanced skills like the back tuck and layout.
